Dectomax injectable solution is a administration to cattle. It contains doramectin,an avermectin discovered by Pfizer. Doramectin is a novel, fermentation-derived product of the avermectin class of highly active, broad-spectrum antiparasitic agents. Doramectin is isolated from fermentations of genetically alterd strain of Streptomyces avermitilis.

Administer Dectomax injectable solution at a dosage rate of 200 mcg doramectin per kg (1 ml/ 50 kg) body weight. Administer Dectomax injectable solution by SC or IM route. Inject the product under soft skin in the neck or shoulder region or into the neck muscle. Administer product with a dry 16 to 18 gauge needle of 15-20 mm length. Use sterile equipment and follow aseptic procedures.
Warning: Not for human use. Keep out of reach of children. In order to avoid secondary reactions due to the death of Hypoderma grubs in the oesophagus or in the vertebral colomn, it is recommended to administer Dectomax at the end of the flies activity period and before the grubs reach their sites. Consult your veterinarian concerning the proper time for treatment.
